TOP spirit medium Derek Acorah is bringing his supernatural powers to the Leas Cliff Hall this summer.

The star of Living TV, who famously tried to contact Michael Jackson live on air months after the pop star died, will be appearing at the Leas Cliff Hall on Saturday, July 14.

The show, part of the True Vision tour, starts at 7.30pm.

Acorah, who last appeared in the area in October 2010 when he visited New Beach Holiday Park in Dymchurch, is well-known for his close interaction.

A spokesman for the venue said: “Derek is undoubtedly the UK’s number one spirit medium.

“The star of Living TV’s Ghost Towns, Most Haunted, Most Haunted Live and The Antiques Ghost Show brings his hugely entertaining evening of psychic ability back by popular demand.

“Wherever he appears his shows are sell-outs, so book early to avoid disappointment.”

Acorah claims that his first supernatural experience came as a child when the spirit of his late grandfather visited him.

The 62-year-old, real name Derek Johnson, has taken his shows across the world and has also released several books, including The Psychic Adventures of Derek Acorah.

In March 2011 Acorah took part in a live online seance, hosted by The Sun, and he was due to begin the True Vision tour yesterday. He will visit 25 venues as well as making appearances at a series of “psychic and science” events.

The spokesman added: “An Evening With Derek Acorah is experimental/ investigational. There are no guaranteed or certain results and the show is for the purposes of amusement/ entertainment.”
