Mini Review:

A lot of times you watch a movie when you are younger then you watch it again as a grown-up and you wonder why you even liked it, but with Fortress I will say this movie has stood up to the test of time. I loved it as a kid and still enjoyed it as a grown-up. I would say it probably ranks in my top 5 if not top 3 movies of all time. Not really sure why it just does. I remember as a kid watching it a few times a month cause I believe HBO aired it often. And I would make it a point to watch it every time it was on.

It’s about a school teacher in Australia in a very small town that has a variety of school-aged kids in the same little school house. One day a bunch of armed men come and take them hostage, and the rest of the movies is them trying to get away and then finally deciding to take a stand and fight back.

It’s a hard movie to come by, it’s not on any of the streaming services or VOD but if you happen to come across, watch it. If you look on YouTube you may also be able to find it but the quality would not do it justice.

Mini Review:

This is one of those movies as a kid I would watch it every time it came on TV and that was a lot. Recently saw it was on Amazon Prime and thought I would check it out and see if it stood up to the test of time. And I still think it was as entertaining as it was when I watch it as a kid. Guess some movies never get old.

One thing I still wish they would explain and this even bothered me as a kid, why did the Ninja kill the guy on the golf course in the beginning? I assume he was someone important like a politician or something but who knows.

Anyway if you’re into cheesy 80s martial arts flicks this is a must watch.
