Synopsis:
Shy, awkward high school student Carrie White is relentlessly bullied by her classmates and emotionally abused by her fanatically religious mother. After a cruel prank in the locker room, Carrie begins to discover she possesses telekinetic powers — the ability to move objects with her mind.
As her classmates attempt to make amends, popular student Sue Snell convinces her boyfriend, Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to the prom as a gesture of kindness. Despite her mother’s protests, Carrie agrees, experiencing a brief moment of happiness and acceptance.
But the night takes a horrifying turn when a vicious prank — involving a bucket of pig’s blood — shatters Carrie’s world. Humiliated and enraged, she unleashes her telekinetic fury on the school, resulting in a night of terror and destruction.
