Mini Movie Review:
This review will most likely contain a spoiler or two, so if you don’t want anything ruined for you, you may want to stop reading now.
I’m kind of torn on this movie, I am not sure if I want to praise it or say how crappy it was. The actual storyline and acting were good but there are a few things that happened that just drives me nuts and took away from the movie. Problem one is the fact that this group of paranormal investigators went to the Farhope Tower to film a pilot for a TV show they are hoping to get greenlit. The major issue I had with that is the fact the girl holding the video camera is never recording anything. She spent half of the time with it pointed towards the ground. How are you supposed to film a pilot if you have no footage?
The second thing that bugged the crap out of me was two scenes with injuries. The character Zoe breaks her Tibia and another character says let me reset it and pushes the splintered bone back under the skin. Then they wrap some gauze around it and Jake asks her do you think you can walk? Really? She had a bone sticking out of her leg and you think a little gauze is going to help her walk on it? Well later on in the movie she does walk on it, blows my mind.
The third thing is Andre has his stomach ripped opened and his intestines were all over the floor and Jake says give me the first aid kit, you’ll be ok or something along those lines. But a first aid kit? really…
Other than those couple of things though it was a pretty decent movie, so don’t let me ranting keep you from checking it out.
