Something strange is going on in Queen’s Flushing Meadows Park says Pete & Stew Kandel (known as Dr. Pete and Dr. Stew) noted paranormal investigators and licensed NYC tour guides aka New York’s own “Ghost Doctors.”
“Flushing Meadows Park was the home of the 1939 and 1964 World’s Fair with nearly one hundred million people visiting these grounds just for the fairs alone, which makes for a lot of “spirited’ fairgoers that may still be hanging around,” says Dr. Stew. The two ghost hunters say they have found some strange and ghostly activity within the 1255 acre wonderland located in the heart of Queens.
“We have investigated this area and found some paranormal activity especially from the remaining remnants of the two World’s Fairs,” says Dr. Pete.
Joining them on their ghostly hunt, the Ghost Doctors will lead groups of ghost hunters in training on actual investigations through this historic area. With equipment in hand, like something out of one of those ghost hunting television shows, they’ll prowl Flushing Meadows for ghostly encounters.
“We’ll investigate those areas of Flushing Meadows where we have found some past activity, but of course we are always continually searching for any new phenomena that may be encountered,” says Dr. Pete.
The Ghost Doctors say, being in Flushing Meadows is almost like being in an outdoor museum considering all the historic and iconic structures that are still standing. “Maybe with a little ghost hunting and a bit of luck, we might even hear a soft whisper coming from this amazing park,” says Dr. Stew.
